Day Five - Thursday June 10th - Santa Maria to Lompoc

70 miles

Day Five is the famous Red Dress Day. Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of Kath and I dressed in red dresses. We looked fabulous, but not as fabulous as others. It was fun. The day would take us through the agriculture fields of Santa Maria, then into the Santa Ynez wine country. Lunch was in Solvang and then a final 25 miles of extremely tough headwinds into Lompoc. It was a very tough day because of the headwinds and we would sleep very well later on.
